Commit to Grow Equality (CGE) is a multi-stakeholder initiative launched by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2024 to accelerate gender equality and women’s empowerment in agrifood systems through financing, partnerships and action. Published two years after the launch, this second progress report gives an updated overview of the initiative and reviews the progress and impact of the commitments made by CGE partners. It builds on the first progress report (2025), which highlighted 17 partner commitments, and reports on the initiative’s development since, including the establishment of its Advisory Group and its engagement with the private sector. It now covers 34 partners and 166 commitments. It highlights that: women’s economic empowerment is a successful, scalable solution; the nexus between gender equality and resilience is increasingly addressed; investments in knowledge generation, research and data collection remain a central priority, and that partnerships are a key vehicle for scale.
